Barangay Parangopong

Barangay Parangopong is a small barangay in the City of Batac, located in the province of Ilocos Norte, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Parangopong had a population of 1,253. This made it the 17th largest of 43 barangays in City of Batac by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Parangopong accounted for approximately 2.26% of the total population of City of Batac, which stood at 55,484 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Parangopong moving from 1,292 residents to 1,253 residents, an intercensal change of -3.0%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community.
