Barangay Polambato

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Polambato is one of the administrative divisions of City of Bogo in Cebu, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Polambato had a population of 4,332. This made it the 7th largest of 29 barangays in City of Bogo by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay Polambato accounted for approximately 4.87% of the total population of City of Bogo, which stood at 88,867 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 3,881 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 4,332 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +11.6%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Polambato is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Bogo is a city comprising 29 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Polambato, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Barangay Polambato is governed by an elected Sangguniang Barangay composed of a Punong Barangay and seven kagawads, with the Sangguniang Kabataan representing the youth. The next BSKE, set for Monday, November 2, 2026, will elect officials to four-year terms as provided under Republic Act No. 12232.
