Barangay Calawagan

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Calawagan is one of the administrative divisions of City of Cabanatuan in Nueva Ecija, Central Luzon, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Calawagan had a population of 1,836. This made it the 64th largest of 89 barangays in City of Cabanatuan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Calawagan accounted for approximately 0.56% of the total population of City of Cabanatuan, which stood at 327,325 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Calawagan changed from 1,757 to 1,836, a shift of +4.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Cabanatuan. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Calawagan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Cabanatuan is a city comprising 89 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Calawagan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
