Barangay Pagas

Situated in City of Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija, Barangay Pagas is one of 89 barangays that make up the city within Central Luzon.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Pagas had a population of 3,261. This made it the 43rd largest of 89 barangays in City of Cabanatuan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Pagas accounted for approximately 1.00% of the total population of City of Cabanatuan, which stood at 327,325 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,997 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 3,261 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +8.8%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Pagas as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Cabanatuan is a city comprising 89 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Pagas, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Nueva Ecija, which contains 849 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Pagas ranks 232nd by 2020 population.
