Barangay Sapang

Situated in City of Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija, Barangay Sapang is one of 89 barangays that make up the city within Central Luzon.

This made it the 68th largest of 89 barangays in City of Cabanatuan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Sapang accounted for approximately 0.49% of the total population of City of Cabanatuan, which stood at 327,325 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,382 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,590 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +15.1%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Sapang as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
