Barangay Sumacab Este

Barangay Sumacab Este is a mid-sized barangay in the city of City of Cabanatuan, located in the province of Nueva Ecija, in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Sumacab Este had a population of 4,517. This made it the 30th largest of 89 barangays in City of Cabanatuan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Sumacab Este accounted for approximately 1.38% of the total population of City of Cabanatuan, which stood at 327,325 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 4,118 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 4,517 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +9.7%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Sumacab Este as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Cabanatuan is a city comprising 89 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Sumacab Este, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
