Barangay Comunal

Barangay Comunal is a mid-sized barangay in the City of Calapan, located in the province of Oriental Mindoro, in the MIMAROPA Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Comunal had a population of 3,362. This made it the 18th largest of 62 barangays in City of Calapan by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay Comunal accounted for approximately 2.31% of the total population of City of Calapan, which stood at 145,786 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Comunal moving from 3,051 residents to 3,362 residents, an intercensal change of +10.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Comunal is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
