Barangay Sta. Cruz

Barangay Sta. Cruz is a small barangay in the City of Calapan, located in the province of Oriental Mindoro, in the MIMAROPA Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Sta. Cruz had a population of 809. This made it the 54th largest of 62 barangays in City of Calapan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Sta. Cruz accounted for approximately 0.55% of the total population of City of Calapan, which stood at 145,786 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Sta. Cruz moving from 737 residents to 809 residents, an intercensal change of +9.8%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Sta. Cruz is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
