Barangay 44 forms part of City of Cavite, a city in Cavite, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay 44 had a population of 1,328. This made it the 31st largest of 84 barangays in City of Cavite by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. The barangay recorded 1,613 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,328 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -17.7%, consistent with a contracting settlement.
