Barangay 62

Barangay 62 is a small barangay in the City of Cavite, located in the province of Cavite, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay 62 had a population of 1,585. This made it the 25th largest of 84 barangays in City of Cavite by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay 62 accounted for approximately 1.57% of the total population of City of Cavite, which stood at 100,674 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay 62 changed from 1,652 to 1,585, a shift of -4.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in City of Cavite. Barangay 62 is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Cavite is a city comprising 84 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay 62, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Cavite, which contains 829 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay 62 ranks 582nd by 2020 population.
