According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Binaton had a population of 2,645. This made it the 20th largest of 26 barangays in City of Digos by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Binaton accounted for approximately 1.40% of the total population of City of Digos, which stood at 188,376 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,599 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,645 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +1.8%, consistent with a slowly expanding settlement. Barangay Binaton is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
