Barangay Bangcud

Barangay Bangcud is a large barangay in the City of Malaybalay, located in the province of Bukidnon, in the Northern Mindanao region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bangcud had a population of 5,771. This made it the 12th largest of 46 barangays in City of Malaybalay by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay Bangcud accounted for approximately 3.03% of the total population of City of Malaybalay, which stood at 190,712 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Bangcud changed from 5,111 to 5,771, a shift of +12.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Malaybalay. Barangay Bangcud is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Malaybalay is a city comprising 46 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bangcud, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Bukidnon, which contains 464 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Bangcud ranks 69th by 2020 population.
