Barangay Mojon

Barangay Mojon is a very large barangay in the city of City of Malolos, located in the province of Bulacan, in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Mojon had a population of 16,169. This made it the 2nd largest of 51 barangays in City of Malolos by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Mojon accounted for approximately 6.19% of the total population of City of Malolos, which stood at 261,189 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Mojon changed from 18,239 to 16,169, a shift of -11.3% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in City of Malolos. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Mojon as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Malolos is a city comprising 51 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Mojon, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Bulacan, which contains 569 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Mojon ranks 29th by 2020 population. Bulacan is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.

Barangay Mojon is governed by an elected Sangguniang Barangay composed of a Punong Barangay and seven kagawads, with the Sangguniang Kabataan representing the youth. The next BSKE, set for Monday, November 2, 2026, will elect officials to four-year terms as provided under Republic Act No. 12232.
