Barangay Panasahan

Barangay Panasahan is a large barangay in the City of Malolos, located in the province of Bulacan, in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Panasahan had a population of 9,484. This made it the 7th largest of 51 barangays in City of Malolos by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay Panasahan accounted for approximately 3.63% of the total population of City of Malolos, which stood at 261,189 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Panasahan changed from 8,818 to 9,484, a shift of +7.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Malolos. Barangay Panasahan is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Malolos is a city comprising 51 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Panasahan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Bulacan, which contains 569 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Panasahan ranks 98th by 2020 population. Barangay Panasahan is governed by an elected Sangguniang Barangay composed of a Punong Barangay and seven kagawads, with the Sangguniang Kabataan representing the youth. The next BSKE, set for Monday, November 2, 2026, will elect officials to four-year terms as provided under Republic Act No. 12232.
