Barangay Malhacan

Classified as a very large barangay, Barangay Malhacan is one of the administrative divisions of City of Meycauayan in Bulacan, Central Luzon, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Malhacan had a population of 21,540. This made it the 1st largest of 26 barangays in City of Meycauayan by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Malhacan accounted for approximately 9.54% of the total population of City of Meycauayan, which stood at 225,673 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Malhacan changed from 22,205 to 21,540, a shift of -3.0% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in City of Meycauayan. Barangay Malhacan is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Meycauayan is a city comprising 26 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Malhacan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
