Barangay Dalapang

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Dalapang is one of the administrative divisions of City of Ozamiz in Misamis Occidental, Northern Mindanao, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Dalapang had a population of 571. This made it the 47th largest of 51 barangays in City of Ozamiz by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Dalapang accounted for approximately 0.41% of the total population of City of Ozamiz, which stood at 140,334 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 636 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 571 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -10.2%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Dalapang as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Ozamiz is a city comprising 51 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Dalapang, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Misamis Occidental, which contains 490 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Dalapang ranks 360th by 2020 population.
