Barangay Dimaluna

Situated in City of Ozamiz, Misamis Occidental, Barangay Dimaluna is one of 51 barangays that make up the city within Northern Mindanao.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Dimaluna had a population of 2,985. This made it the 19th largest of 51 barangays in City of Ozamiz by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Dimaluna accounted for approximately 2.13% of the total population of City of Ozamiz, which stood at 140,334 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 3,020 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,985 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -1.2%, consistent with a broadly stable settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Dimaluna as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Ozamiz is a city comprising 51 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Dimaluna, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Misamis Occidental, which contains 490 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Dimaluna ranks 37th by 2020 population.
