Barangay Consolacion

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Consolacion is one of the administrative divisions of City of Panabo in Davao Del Norte, Davao Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Consolacion had a population of 1,509. This made it the 33rd largest of 40 barangays in City of Panabo by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Consolacion accounted for approximately 0.72% of the total population of City of Panabo, which stood at 209,230 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Consolacion changed from 1,747 to 1,509, a shift of -13.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in City of Panabo. Barangay Consolacion is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Panabo is a city comprising 40 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Consolacion, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Davao Del Norte, which contains 223 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Consolacion ranks 193rd by 2020 population. Barangay Consolacion is governed by an elected Sangguniang Barangay composed of a Punong Barangay and seven kagawads, with the Sangguniang Kabataan representing the youth. The next BSKE, set for Monday, November 2, 2026, will elect officials to four-year terms as provided under Republic Act No. 12232.
