Barangay Tanza

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Tanza is one of the administrative divisions of City of Roxas in Capiz, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tanza had a population of 2,354. This made it the 26th largest of 47 barangays in City of Roxas by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Tanza accounted for approximately 1.31% of the total population of City of Roxas, which stood at 179,292 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Tanza changed from 2,014 to 2,354, a shift of +16.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Roxas. Barangay Tanza is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Roxas is a city comprising 47 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tanza, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
