Barangay Balaya

Barangay Balaya is a small barangay in the city of City of San Carlos, located in the province of Pangasinan, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Balaya had a population of 1,938. This made it the 47th largest of 86 barangays in City of San Carlos by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Balaya accounted for approximately 0.94% of the total population of City of San Carlos, which stood at 205,424 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Balaya moving from 1,906 residents to 1,938 residents, an intercensal change of +1.7%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Balaya as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
