Barangay Balococ

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Balococ is one of the administrative divisions of City of San Carlos in Pangasinan, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Balococ had a population of 2,170. This made it the 39th largest of 86 barangays in City of San Carlos by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Balococ accounted for approximately 1.06% of the total population of City of San Carlos, which stood at 205,424 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Balococ changed from 1,736 to 2,170, a shift of +25.0% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of San Carlos. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Balococ as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of San Carlos is a city comprising 86 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Balococ, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
