Barangay Del Carmen

Barangay Del Carmen is a large barangay in the city of City of San Fernando, located in the province of Pampanga, in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Del Carmen had a population of 6,846. This made it the 22nd largest of 35 barangays in City of San Fernando by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Del Carmen accounted for approximately 1.93% of the total population of City of San Fernando, which stood at 354,666 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 5,879 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 6,846 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +16.4%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Del Carmen as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of San Fernando is a city comprising 35 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Del Carmen, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Pampanga, which contains 538 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Del Carmen ranks 86th by 2020 population. Pampanga is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.

The barangay's legislative and executive affairs are handled by a Punong Barangay and the Sangguniang Barangay, elected nationwide during the Barangay and SK Elections. The next BSKE is scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, following the synchronized election schedule set by COMELEC Resolution No. 11191.
