Barangay Sevilla

Barangay Sevilla forms part of City of San Fernando, a city in La Union, and is classified as a large barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Sevilla had a population of 11,316. This made it the 1st largest of 59 barangays in City of San Fernando by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Sevilla accounted for approximately 9.01% of the total population of City of San Fernando, which stood at 125,640 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Sevilla changed from 11,470 to 11,316, a shift of -1.3% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with broadly stable populations in City of San Fernando. Barangay Sevilla is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of San Fernando is a city comprising 59 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Sevilla, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of La Union, which contains 576 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Sevilla ranks 1st by 2020 population. La Union is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.

The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
