Barangay Bulo

Situated in City of Tabuk, Kalinga, Barangay Bulo is one of 43 barangays that make up the city within CAR.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bulo had a population of 4,125. This made it the 8th largest of 43 barangays in City of Tabuk by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay Bulo accounted for approximately 3.41% of the total population of City of Tabuk, which stood at 121,033 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 4,053 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 4,125 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +1.8%, consistent with a slowly expanding settlement. Barangay Bulo is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Tabuk is a city comprising 43 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bulo, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Kalinga, which contains 153 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Bulo ranks 8th by 2020 population. Like every Philippine barangay, Barangay Bulo is led by an elected Punong Barangay (barangay captain) supported by seven Sangguniang Barangay members (kagawads), an SK Chairperson, a Barangay Secretary, and a Barangay Treasurer. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
