Barangay Zone 8 (Pob.)

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Zone 8 (Pob.) is one of the administrative divisions of City of Talisay in Negros Occidental, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Zone 8 (Pob.) had a population of 441. This made it the 27th largest of 27 barangays in City of Talisay by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Zone 8 (Pob.) accounted for approximately 0.40% of the total population of City of Talisay, which stood at 108,909 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 488 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 441 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -9.6%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Zone 8 (Pob.) as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Talisay is a city comprising 27 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Zone 8 (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
