Barangay Maugat

Barangay Maugat is a mid-sized barangay in the City of Tanauan, located in the province of Batangas, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Maugat had a population of 2,334. This made it the 31st largest of 48 barangays in City of Tanauan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Maugat accounted for approximately 1.20% of the total population of City of Tanauan, which stood at 193,936 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Maugat changed from 2,107 to 2,334, a shift of +10.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Tanauan. Barangay Maugat is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
