Barangay Maticdum

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Maticdum is one of the administrative divisions of City of Tandag in Surigao Del Sur, Caraga, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Maticdum had a population of 844. This made it the 20th largest of 21 barangays in City of Tandag by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Maticdum accounted for approximately 1.35% of the total population of City of Tandag, which stood at 62,669 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 823 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 844 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +2.6%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Maticdum is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Tandag is a city comprising 21 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Maticdum, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Surigao Del Sur, which contains 309 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Maticdum ranks 255th by 2020 population.
