Barangay XVIII

Barangay XVIII is a very small barangay in the city of City of Victorias, located in the province of Negros Occidental, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay XVIII had a population of 212. This made it the 23rd largest of 26 barangays in City of Victorias by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay XVIII accounted for approximately 0.24% of the total population of City of Victorias, which stood at 90,101 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay XVIII changed from 453 to 212, a shift of -53.2% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in City of Victorias. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay XVIII as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Victorias is a city comprising 26 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay XVIII, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Negros Occidental, which contains 662 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay XVIII ranks 597th by 2020 population. Negros Occidental is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.

The barangay's legislative and executive affairs are handled by a Punong Barangay and the Sangguniang Barangay, elected nationwide during the Barangay and SK Elections.
