Barangay XX

Barangay XX is a large barangay in the city of City of Victorias, located in the province of Negros Occidental, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay XX had a population of 7,904. This made it the 2nd largest of 26 barangays in City of Victorias by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay XX accounted for approximately 8.77% of the total population of City of Victorias, which stood at 90,101 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay XX changed from 7,442 to 7,904, a shift of +6.2% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Victorias. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay XX as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Victorias is a city comprising 26 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay XX, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Negros Occidental, which contains 662 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay XX ranks 84th by 2020 population. Negros Occidental is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.

The barangay's legislative and executive affairs are handled by a Punong Barangay and the Sangguniang Barangay, elected nationwide during the Barangay and SK Elections. The next BSKE is scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, following the synchronized election schedule set by COMELEC Resolution No. 11191.
