Barangay Guiban

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Guiban is one of the administrative divisions of Concepcion in Misamis Occidental, Northern Mindanao, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Guiban had a population of 400. This made it the 14th largest of 18 barangays in Concepcion by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Guiban accounted for approximately 4.29% of the total population of Concepcion, which stood at 9,324 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Guiban moving from 434 residents to 400 residents, an intercensal change of -7.8%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Guiban is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Concepcion is a municipality comprising 18 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Guiban, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
