Barangay Alegria

Situated in Corcuera, Romblon, Barangay Alegria is one of 15 barangays that make up the municipality within MIMAROPA Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Alegria had a population of 1,638. This made it the 1st largest of 15 barangays in Corcuera by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Alegria accounted for approximately 16.20% of the total population of Corcuera, which stood at 10,112 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Alegria moving from 1,720 residents to 1,638 residents, an intercensal change of -4.8%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Alegria is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
