Barangay Capirpiriwan forms part of Cordon, a municipality in Isabela, and is classified as a mid-sized barangay.

This made it the 2nd largest of 26 barangays in Cordon by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Capirpiriwan accounted for approximately 7.81% of the total population of Cordon, which stood at 46,477 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Capirpiriwan moving from 3,775 residents to 3,631 residents, an intercensal change of -3.8%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Capirpiriwan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
