Barangay Caquilingan

Situated in Cordon, Isabela, Barangay Caquilingan is one of 26 barangays that make up the municipality within Cagayan Valley.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Caquilingan had a population of 2,977. This made it the 4th largest of 26 barangays in Cordon by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Caquilingan accounted for approximately 6.41% of the total population of Cordon, which stood at 46,477 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Caquilingan moving from 2,604 residents to 2,977 residents, an intercensal change of +14.3%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Caquilingan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
