Barangay Looc

Situated in Culaba, Biliran, Barangay Looc is one of 17 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Looc had a population of 896. This made it the 5th largest of 17 barangays in Culaba by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Looc accounted for approximately 6.91% of the total population of Culaba, which stood at 12,972 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Looc moving from 862 residents to 896 residents, an intercensal change of +3.9%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Looc as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
