Barangay Patag

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Patag is one of the administrative divisions of Culaba in Biliran, Eastern Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Patag had a population of 531. This made it the 11th largest of 17 barangays in Culaba by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Patag accounted for approximately 4.09% of the total population of Culaba, which stood at 12,972 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Patag moving from 496 residents to 531 residents, an intercensal change of +7.1%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Patag is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Culaba is a municipality comprising 17 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Patag, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
