Barangay Poblacion II

Barangay Poblacion II is a small barangay in the municipality of Currimao, located in the province of Ilocos Norte, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Poblacion II had a population of 564. This made it the 9th largest of 23 barangays in Currimao by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion II accounted for approximately 4.62% of the total population of Currimao, which stood at 12,215 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Poblacion II changed from 611 to 564, a shift of -7.7% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Currimao. Barangay Poblacion II is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
