Barangay San Carlos

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay San Carlos is one of the administrative divisions of Cuyo in Palawan, MIMAROPA Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Carlos had a population of 1,406. This made it the 6th largest of 17 barangays in Cuyo by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Carlos accounted for approximately 5.99% of the total population of Cuyo, which stood at 23,489 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay San Carlos moving from 1,412 residents to 1,406 residents, an intercensal change of -0.4%. The trajectory indicates a broadly stable community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Carlos as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
