Barangay Omonay

Barangay Omonay is a large barangay in the municipality of Damulog, located in the province of Bukidnon, in the Northern Mindanao region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Omonay had a population of 9,733. This made it the 1st largest of 17 barangays in Damulog by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Omonay accounted for approximately 24.75% of the total population of Damulog, which stood at 39,322 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Omonay moving from 6,523 residents to 9,733 residents, an intercensal change of +49.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Omonay is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Damulog is a municipality comprising 17 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Omonay, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Bukidnon, which contains 464 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Omonay ranks 19th by 2020 population. Barangay Omonay is governed by an elected Sangguniang Barangay composed of a Punong Barangay and seven kagawads, with the Sangguniang Kabataan representing the youth. The next BSKE, set for Monday, November 2, 2026, will elect officials to four-year terms as provided under Republic Act No. 12232.
