Barangay Cogon-Cruz

Barangay Cogon-Cruz is a large barangay in Danao City, located in the province of Cebu, in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Cogon-Cruz had a population of 5,116. This made it the 11th largest of 42 barangays in Danao City by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay Cogon-Cruz accounted for approximately 3.27% of the total population of Danao City, which stood at 156,321 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 4,188 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 5,116 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +22.2%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Cogon-Cruz is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.
