Barangay 12 (Pob.)

Barangay 12 (Pob.) is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Dapa, located in the province of Surigao Del Norte, in the Caraga region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay 12 (Pob.) had a population of 3,402. This made it the 2nd largest of 29 barangays in Dapa by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay 12 (Pob.) accounted for approximately 11.73% of the total population of Dapa, which stood at 29,006 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,467 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 3,402 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +37.9%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay 12 (Pob.) is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Dapa is a municipality comprising 29 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay 12 (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Surigao Del Norte, which contains 335 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay 12 (Pob.) ranks 28th by 2020 population.
