Barangay Jubang

Situated in Dapa, Surigao Del Norte, Barangay Jubang is one of 29 barangays that make up the municipality within Caraga.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Jubang had a population of 709. This made it the 11th largest of 29 barangays in Dapa by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Jubang accounted for approximately 2.44% of the total population of Dapa, which stood at 29,006 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 396 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 709 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +79.0%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Jubang is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Dapa is a municipality comprising 29 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Jubang, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Surigao Del Norte, which contains 335 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Jubang ranks 230th by 2020 population.
