Barangay Union

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Union is one of the administrative divisions of Dapa in Surigao Del Norte, Caraga, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Union had a population of 2,949. This made it the 3rd largest of 29 barangays in Dapa by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Union accounted for approximately 10.17% of the total population of Dapa, which stood at 29,006 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Union changed from 2,420 to 2,949, a shift of +21.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Dapa. Barangay Union is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Dapa is a municipality comprising 29 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Union, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Surigao Del Norte, which contains 335 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Union ranks 36th by 2020 population.
