Barangay Simbahan

Barangay Simbahan forms part of Dinalungan, a municipality in Aurora, and is classified as a small barangay.

This made it the 2nd largest of 9 barangays in Dinalungan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Simbahan accounted for approximately 13.99% of the total population of Dinalungan, which stood at 12,508 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,717 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,750 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +1.9%, consistent with a slowly expanding settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Simbahan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Dinalungan is a municipality comprising 9 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Simbahan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Aurora, which contains 151 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Simbahan ranks 44th by 2020 population.
