Barangay Beray

Barangay Beray is a small barangay in the municipality of Dinas, located in the province of Zamboanga Del Sur, in the Zamboanga Peninsula region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Beray had a population of 650. This made it the 27th largest of 30 barangays in Dinas by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Beray accounted for approximately 1.79% of the total population of Dinas, which stood at 36,291 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Beray moving from 629 residents to 650 residents, an intercensal change of +3.3%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Beray is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Dinas is a municipality comprising 30 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Beray, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
