Barangay Tabugon

Situated in Dingle, Iloilo, Barangay Tabugon is one of 33 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Tabugon had a population of 1,858. This made it the 8th largest of 33 barangays in Dingle by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tabugon accounted for approximately 4.04% of the total population of Dingle, which stood at 45,965 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Tabugon changed from 1,786 to 1,858, a shift of +4.0% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Dingle. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Tabugon as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Dingle is a municipality comprising 33 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tabugon, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Iloilo, which contains 1,901 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Tabugon ranks 312th by 2020 population.
