Barangay Salay

Barangay Salay forms part of Dipaculao, a municipality in Aurora, and is classified as a small barangay.

This made it the 9th largest of 25 barangays in Dipaculao by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Salay accounted for approximately 4.35% of the total population of Dipaculao, which stood at 33,131 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Salay moving from 1,417 residents to 1,440 residents, an intercensal change of +1.6%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Salay as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Dipaculao is a municipality comprising 25 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Salay, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
