Barangay Ogod

Situated in Donsol, Sorsogon, Barangay Ogod is one of 51 barangays that make up the municipality within Bicol Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Ogod had a population of 4,189. This made it the 1st largest of 51 barangays in Donsol by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Ogod accounted for approximately 8.33% of the total population of Donsol, which stood at 50,281 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Ogod moving from 3,755 residents to 4,189 residents, an intercensal change of +11.6%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Ogod as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Donsol is a municipality comprising 51 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Ogod, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Sorsogon, which contains 541 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Ogod ranks 19th by 2020 population.
