Barangay Parina

Situated in Donsol, Sorsogon, Barangay Parina is one of 51 barangays that make up the municipality within Bicol Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Parina had a population of 227. This made it the 51st largest of 51 barangays in Donsol by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Parina accounted for approximately 0.45% of the total population of Donsol, which stood at 50,281 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Parina moving from 254 residents to 227 residents, an intercensal change of -10.6%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Parina as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
