Barangay Paglaum (Pob.)

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Paglaum (Pob.) is one of the administrative divisions of Dumalinao in Zamboanga Del Sur, Zamboanga Peninsula, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Paglaum (Pob.) had a population of 2,509. This made it the 3rd largest of 30 barangays in Dumalinao by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Paglaum (Pob.) accounted for approximately 7.62% of the total population of Dumalinao, which stood at 32,928 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,487 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,509 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +0.9%, consistent with a slowly expanding settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Paglaum (Pob.) as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Dumalinao is a municipality comprising 30 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Paglaum (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
