Barangay Ilian

Situated in Dumaran, Palawan, Barangay Ilian is one of 16 barangays that make up the municipality within MIMAROPA Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Ilian had a population of 1,607. This made it the 8th largest of 16 barangays in Dumaran by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Ilian accounted for approximately 6.83% of the total population of Dumaran, which stood at 23,528 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Ilian moving from 1,657 residents to 1,607 residents, an intercensal change of -3.0%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Ilian as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
